Nancy

Not a hair out of place.
Radiance missing though without a trace.
Kidnapped by the "Long Goodbye".
Her voice sounding like any moment she will cry.

She tells the world that Ronald is gone.
Alzheimer has finally won.
Leaving only a shell
with twisted, tangled brain cells.

Research for him most likely too late.
While there continues the stem cell debate.
Questions arise as to ethics
while love ones struggle with disease pathetic.

As Nancy talks
pictures flash on the screen Ronald strong and tall.
The two of them together
during sunnier weather.

Radiance missing without a trace.
Replaced with sorrow and grief on her face.
No one can blame her if she cries.
The Ronald she knew has died.
